Itinerary for the EASI Cup Week 2007
  • Monday 3rd Sept.
  • Transfers from Manchester Airport
    players from the Czech Republic, Germany, Holland, Slovakia and Austria to Owens Park. Ensuring everyone is welcomed and gets settled into their accommodation in Owens Park. Ensure teams are familiar with the immediate area around Fallowfield and bus services, taxi ranks etc… to and from the City centre.
  • Tuesday 4th Sept.
  • Free-and-easy day giving people the option to explore for themselves or to join one of the guided historical walks around Manchester provided.
  • Wednesday 5th Sept.
  • From 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm two 11-a-side teams battle it out for a pre-EASI Cup tournament – featuring a European Dream Team Select made up of a mixture of players from abroad and a team comprising of players from the North West League teams and from players from the rest of Britain teams I.e. Hackney (London), Oxford, Birmingham, North Wales, Leicester and Leeds. There will be a Volley Ball tournament in the Armitage Centre at the same time as the football and also Badminton available for people to play.
  • Thursday 6th Sept.
  • Introduction and welcome by John Leech MP
    The EASI Cup 2007.
    24 teams, comprising of over 250 players, from throughout the North West, Britain and Europe compete from 12 noon until 5:00 pm. There will be a healthy living fair with numerous stalls providing people with advice and information on mental health, physical health, healthy eating, exercise etc…and indoor sport taster sessions including Basketball,Tag-Rugby,Badminton,Tai-Chi,circuit training etc. Presentations of medals and trophies will take place at 5:00 pm. with Earl Barret (ex England,Manchester City,Oldham Athletic,Everton and Sheffield Wednesday)
    Last night for all the European visitors will be finished off with the opportunity to go out locally to sample Mancunian hospitality

  • Early morning start with Transfers to Manchester Airport and bon voyage to all our guests.
