Munich Conference 2004

Results of the E.A.S.I. – Conference during the 7th International Regenbogen-Cup

A conference with representatives of the different teams taking part in the 7th International Regenbogen-Cup was held in Munich on May the 18th and 19th this year. After one year of E.A.S.I. existing as a working-group the time has come to move on. Here are the results of this conference in a summary of the protocol the translator Caro Klein made.

E.A.S.I. must be more than only an idea<

After a short discussion the involved representatives all agreed that E.A.S.I. has to be more than only an idea and working-group now. So E.A.S.I. has been given a structure. Stefan Holzer (representative of Regenbogen e. V. in Haar/Germany) was unanimously elected to be chairman and coordinator of E.A.S.I.. Furthermore was decided to launch national networks in the involved countries, runed and represented by national coordinators.

  • Assigned fort his were:
  • Mr. Moustafa Boualia for France
  • Mr.Jan Drobný for the Czech Republic
  • Mr.Lubomir Dolobac for Slovakia
  • Mr.Paul Evans, Mr. Paddy Mc Elroy and Mr. Colin Godfrey for the UK
  • Mr.Josef Pree for Austria
  • Mr.Günther Skibbe and Mr. Stefan Holzer for Germany
  • People from other countries associated with E.A.S.I. will be connected soon. These people will inform other projects in their country about E.A.S.I., try to find new members and will try to launch national networks.

E.A.S.I. must become an official body!

All representatives agreed as well, that E.A.S.I. will only be able to succeed with its goals as an official body or organisation. In fact there exists no european law for such european organisation, so E.A.S.I., so that E.A.S.I. will be registered in a certain country according to the national law as an international organisation. After one year of existing and working as a working-group, the time has come o launch a official registration. It will be our next step to find ot which national law is the most suitable for our organisation within the fallowing year.

E.A.S.I. needs binding and strong partners!

The ideas of E.A.S.I. must be heard and broadcasted. Open ears must be found to make clear the vale of sport as a therapeutic method as a factor of social integration and a successful prophylaxis of relapse. Since a meeting with Mrs. Rita Donabauer chairman of Europsy from Europsy is a possible partner. A possible binding of E.A.S.I. and Europsy will be discussed and launched in the following months.

E.A.S.I. needs a Forum for public presence and presentation!

The establishment of a E.A.S.I.-Website seems to be the most urgent and obvious project. First ideas have been collected and the possibility of making a website is clear. A website in different languages with links to the national networks will be realized. It should present E.A.S.I.’s basic ideas to the public, be a forum of discussion and inform all participants about projects, invitations and international offers of the individual organisations and networks.
